Job Description:
Our client is a leading entertainment and globally recognised brand.
they are currently in need of a VMI manager to work with distributors and retailers in the Swiss territory.Responsible for store-level replenishment of stock to the Swiss retailers including maintaining and revising system parameters on sales performance.
Ensuring an optimum level of New Releases, catalogue and promotional stock is maintained for VMI purposes.
Managing a virtual international team of VMI planner(s) and VMI forecaster(s) and support knowledge exchange.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS• Manage both system upgrades and implementations plus continued improvement of peoples understanding and usage of the VMI systems• Manage a centralised and/or virtual international team of VMI planner(s) and VMI forecaster(s) servicing the business units.• Offer support and guidance to the VMI teams in the daily task of delivering customer satisfaction• Review on a periodic basis the operation of existing territories to identify areas of process or efficiency improvementWith regards to services to Switzerland• Generating store-level replenishment orders and drive associated communication in the Supply Chain.• Taking appropriate action on the system to ensure the consumer sales trends are followed and agreed parameters are fully implemented whilst liaising with the Key Account manager• Liaising with the Operations department and the Sales team to ensure stock is available in time for replenishment.
Create forecast information allowing for a maximum shipment rate.• Verifying the validity of information received by the system.
Actively resolving problems should they arise by checking daily POS loads, stock count loads and short shipments.• Meeting order fulfilment and availability key performance indicators (KPI’s).• Assisting in the implementation of SAP into the Swiss Supply Chain where it concerns VMI.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/WORK EXPERIENCEEducation/Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business StudiesRelevant Previous Work Experience• Desirable to have at least five years proven success in VMI.• Experience working within either a retail or logistics operationCore Competencies• VMI experience required preferably with FMCG and entertainment experience• Computer literate required – must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint• Presentation Skills – able to present at a senior level with confidence in the subject matter at hand• Strategic Planner – Proven success in developing and implementing commercially driven plans• Sales and Marketing Literate – Sound understanding of the sales and marketing principles and various entertainment mediums• Self-Starter – Ambition and drive to succeed and to progress within the company• Effective interpersonal skills - A strong communicator able to work with people at all levels outside and within organisation• Strong Time Management – Able to manage many priorities and to use time effectively to achieve business goals• Team player – Ability to work within a matrix organisation and the flexibility to cope with rapidly changing environment• Attention to Detail - Must be analytical and have the ability to pay close attention to details• SAP experience would be an advantage.
